What is included in the price?
Included in the price is your accommodation, all towels & linen are provided for you, we hire towels for use in the leisure facilities. By booking through Retallack Resort and Spa allows you to use the leisure facilities, including our indoor heated swimming pool and 2 all weather tennis courts. We also have a pitch & putt golf course and a childrens play area. All of these facilities are free of charge. We also have 2 spa treatment rooms and a Flowrider, any spa treatments or sessions on the Flowrider are charged additional.
Is there wifi in the houses?
The majority of our houses do have internet access , however, we cannot guarantee this is wireless. The internet access is chargeable and you can purchase 1 code per laptop/internet device.
What time is check in?
Check in is 4pm on the day of arrival.
What time is check out?
Check out is 10am on the day of departure.
What is the difference between the Rock and the Harlyn?
The Harlyn house is the newer of the 2 houses. These houses are generally positioned higher on the resort which results in them being closer to the leisure facilities and benefiting from the better views. The Harlyn houses also have TV's in the bedrooms. Both houses are 5* properties and decorated to the same standard.
What is the difference between the 4 bedroom houses?
The Wadebridge house is one of our unrated houses, these houses are what we class as our great value housing as they have a similar layout to our 5* houses. The way these houses vary are that they aren't decorated, internally or externally, to our 5* standard. These houses have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 lounges and a fully equipped kitchen/diner. In some of these houses the 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed layout as opposed to a double/twin.
Our Padstow houses are 5* properties. These houses have granite worktops, solid oak flooring and all of the fixtures and fittings are to a 5* standard. They have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 lounges and a fully equipped kitchen/diner. The bedroom layout are generally 2 double and 2 twin, however this does vary in some houses.
Our Trevone houses are 5* properties. These houses have granite worktops, solid oak flooring and all of the fixtures and fittings are to a 5* standard. They have 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 en-suite), 2 lounges and a fully equipped kitchen/diner. The bedroom layout of these houses is 2 super king doubles and 2 twins. There is a TV in the master bedroom and an ipod docking station in the master bedroom.
The Eden houses are 5* properties. These houses have granite worktops, solid oak flooring and all of the fixtures and fittings are to a 5* standard. They have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 lounges and a fully equipped kitchen/diner. The bedroom layout of these houses is 2 super king doubles and 2 twins. There is a TV in the master bedroom and an ipod docking station in the master bedroom. Some of these houses do have en-suite bedrooms but this cannot be guaranteed. There is a wall mounted fire in the living room and there is a private hot tub on the decking area.
Our Fistral houses are 5* luxury houses. They have granite worktops, solid oak flooring and all of the fixtures and fittings are to a 5* standard. They have 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 en-suite & 1 large limestone wet room), 2 lounges and a fully equipped kitchen/diner. The bedroom layout of these houses is 2 super king double and 2 twin bedrooms. The houses have a Cornish stone exterior, the balcony of these houses overhang the lake and the views from this house are second to none as they are positioned lakeside. There are TVs in the master bedroom along with an ipod docking station and a private hot tub on the decking area.
Finally our 4 bedroom Polzeath houses are 5* properties, they have 4 bedrooms, 2 super king double and 2 twin, all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, there is 1 lounge and a fully equipped kitchen/diner. These houses are set across 3 floors. These houses are Cornish stone exterior, they are lake front properties and the views from these houses are amazing. There is a private hot tub on the patio area of this property. All of the bedrooms have a TV in them.
Are towels & linen provided?
We do provide all of your towels & linen in your property. We recommend that you bring beach towels to use in the swimming pool, however, you can bring the towels from your property as there is a washer/dryer in your property (excluding 1 bedroom Suites). If you want to hire towels from the leisure club you can do this but there is a charge of £3 per towel.
Is there a DVD player in the houses?
All of the houses have a DVD player in them. Some of these have them integrated in the TV and some of them are separate to the TV. We provide DVD's at reception that you can hire free of charge.
What is included in the accommodation?
In all of our houses we provide a TV with a basic sky package, there is a DVD player, internet access, a telephone, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The kitchen is fully equipped with all pots and pans required to cook, along with all cutlery and crockery. This excludes the 1 bedroom Fistral Suites.
Are dogs welcome in the houses?
We do allow dogs in the houses, there would be a maximum of 2 dogs per house. There are some dogs which we don't allow in the houses, a full list of these dogs can be found on our dogs page. We do charge £40 per dog and should the house require extra cleaning due to the dogs being in the house then the person who made the booking is liable for this cleaning.
Can I park outside my house?
All of our houses have parking, the 2 bed houses have 1 parking space and the 4 bed houses have 2 spaces. Should you have any additional cars you are able to leave these in our Flowrider car park.
Do the houses have disabled access?
Some of our houses have disabled access to them, all of our 4 bed houses have a lounge, bathroom and bedrooms downstairs so there is no need to use the stairs. If you require a house with disabled access please make our reservations team aware of this at the time of booking so they can ensure this is catered for.
Can we smoke in the house?
All of our houses are non-smoking houses. You are able to smoke outside the house on the decking area and in the outside areas, however, all of our houses are non-smoking.
What happens if we arrive early?
Should you arrive earlier than 4pm and your property is ready to be checked into you are more than welcome to check in. However, should the house not be ready early then you are welcome to fill in the paperwork and leave a mobile number with reception so we can call you as soon as the house is ready. You are welcome to use any of the facilities prior to check in if you are waiting for your property.
What happens if we arrive late?
Should you arrive after reception closes then provisions will have been made for your arrival. You will still need to come to the reception area to check in, to the left of the reception doors there is a wooden letterbox which will have your welcome pack and keys in it. There will be a map included in the pack showing where your house is along with your keys. There is a piece of paper which needs to be bought to reception the following morning so you can leave a pre-authorisation.
Can we check in early?
Should you arrive before 4pm and your house is ready then we would be more than happy to allow you to check in. We can never guarantee that a house will be ready prior to 4pm, even out of season. During the summer months we do not offer an early check in due to our properties being changed over from previous guests.
What do we do when we arrive at Retallack?
When you arrive come straight to reception and we will go through all of the paperwork with you, take your pre-authorisation, explain a few things regarding your stay and then we will provide you with a map and keys and give you directions to your property.
I booked the holiday but my other party members will be arriving before me will they be able to check in?
The other members of your party will be able to check in before you, we prefer to carry out the pre-authorisation prior to anybody checking into the property but, as the person who booked the holiday, if you would like to be the person who provides us with the pre-authorisation then you can come to reception and carry this out once you arrive.
Can I chose to book a specific house/location?
If you would like a specific house/location then we will endeavour to ensure that your needs are met however we are unable to guarantee this.
How much deposit do I need to pay?
Upon booking, should your arrival date be more than 8 weeks away, then you would be required to pay a 25% deposit and the remaining balance would be due 8 weeks prior to arrival. If you book with less than 8 weeks to arrival then the full balance is due at the time of booking.
What if I cancel?
Should you wish to cancel then we can cancel the booking for you. All deposits paid are non-refundable, however, we can utilise the deposit you've paid and move your booking to another date for you so you don't lose any money. If you cancel between 4 & 8 weeks to arrival, when the full balance has been paid, then 50% of the booking value will be lost if we are unable to re-let the property. If you cancel with less than 4 weeks to arrival then the full balance of the booking will be lost.
What is the minimum number of nights I can book for?
Our minimum nights stay is 3 nights. However, occasionally we do offer 2 night breaks on our website special offers should there be a 2 night gap between bookings.
Can family/friends visit during our stay?
You are welcome to have friends/family visit during your stay but you must make somebody at reception/reservations aware of this. Unfortunately they will be unable to use the leisure facilities but they are welcome to use the bar/restaurant
What is the pre-authorisation on arrival for?
The pre-authorisation is the swipe of a credit card which acts as a security deposit on the property. This covers any damage to the property, any excess cleaning on the house or any missing inventory. The pre-authorisation is for £250, we reserve the right to request a larger security deposit for our larger houses or for group bookings. You are not limited to £250 worth of damages/cleaning/inventory charges.
Do I need to make a reservation to eat in the restaurant?
We do recommend pre-booking in the restaurant to ensure that you are able to get a table in our restaurant however it is not always necessary.
Do we need to book to use the golf course/tennis courts?
You do not need to book to use the course/courts you can use these whenever you would like to use them. They are used on a first come first served basis.
Do we need to book to use the flowrider/spa treatments?
We do recommend pre-booking for any sessions/treatments to avoid disappointment. Pre-booking isn't always necessary and if you don't mind what date/time you have a treatment then it isn't vital to book, however, we cannot guarantee there will be spaces available should you not book.
Can I book any of the activities I want to take part in online?
Unfortunately you are currently unable to book online for any activities. However, you can e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be more than happy to book anything for you.
Do you offer vegetarian meals in your restaurant?
We pride ourselves on serving a wide variety of food at The Green Room Restaurant. We do have vegetarian meals which include an amazing Portobello Mushroom burger served on a toasted bun with salad, chips and aioli sauce. For a full menu please contact us and we will be more than happy to e-mail you a copy of our menu.
Can I book a babysitter?
We do have a list of babysitters available at Retallack and you can e-mail or call us with the dates/times that you would like the babysitter and we will happily book this for you.
Where is the nearest supermarket?
Tesco is the nearest supermarket and there is one in Wadebridge and Padstow, which are both a 10 minute drive from the resort. However, if you would like to do a food order prior to your arrival then you can order online with asda, tesco or sainsbury's and any 3 of these supermarkets will deliver directly to your property.
How do I request a brochure?
On our main page of our website on the right hand side there is a form which you can fill in which will be e-mailed to our reservations department and then a brochure will be posted out to you within 48 hours.
Where can I find information on the sales of your properties?
We do have a page on our website with our sales information. For any further information you can e-mail us on email@example.com and we will be more than happy to pass your details on to our sales department.
I'm interested in working with you – how do I apply?
We occasionally have vacancies arising in various departments of our resort. If you would like to apply then please e-mail a copy of your CV to Claire@retallackresort.com and we will forward your e-mail on to the relevant department.
Can we use the facilities before we check in/after we check out?
You are able to use the leisure facilities prior to checking in and for the day after you check out.
Are there times when children can't use the pool?
We do have some adult only swim times when children are unable to use the pool but the majority of the time children can use the facilities. The adult only swim times are Monday-Friday 7.30am-8am and 7.30pm-8.30pm Sat & Sun 7pm-8pm. there are various times when the pool may be closed for certain activities - please see the latest activity guide for days and times. Adults can join in these classes for a fee.
Are the classes free of charge?
The classes are charged additional, they are £5 each and these can be booked upon arrival.
Do we need to book the golf course/tennis courts?
You don't need to book the course/courts. The use of these is included in the price and you can use these whenever you want to use them. The cost of equipment hire is £2.50pp (i.e. golf = 2 clubs, 1 ball/ tennis = 1 racket, 1 ball)
Do you provide towels in the health club?
We can provide towels for hire in the health club. There is a charge of £3 per towel and these are to be returned to reception after use.
Can you use the health club for the day without being a resident?
Unfortunately you are unable to use the leisure facilities without staying on the resort or being a member of the health club.
