| Olivia Cassells is Retallack Resort’s very own yoga expert, who will be leading the Yoga Breaks at Retallack Resort and Spa. An incredibly passionate individual, Olivia is very dedicated through her own training in a variety of different fields. Having initially become interested in fitness through martial arts, and having completed her black belt, she began teaching kick boxing to children and adults. Enjoying this so much, Olivia qualified as a boxercise instructor, which then inspired her to become a fully qualified fitness instructor 7 years ago. Teaches a full range of classes of different tempos ranging from spinning to fitball, she sees fitness as a lifestyle rather than a job and feels the benefits are holistic rather than just physical. Olivia finds exercise an essential part of her own routine, helping her to maintain her busy schedule and positive mood. Having started yoga when she was competing in martial arts, Olivia has now been practicing yoga for around 10 years. As she continued developing her skills in fitness instructing, she realised the physical benefits that yoga provided and what an important role it can play in a balanced fitness regime. These benefits include posture realignment and correction, core strength and balance improvement and muscle toning and flexibility. In addition to the benefits of cardiovascular, overall strength and weight loss, improved bone density and heart health are all improved. Olivia wanted to help her clients to incorporate these benefits into their own workout schedule and decided to train in Full Traditional Yogic Experience and Lifestyle coach; completely an intense 4 week, including 200 hours practice and living by the rules of an Ashram. Olivia found this not only to improve her own physical practice but it also helped her to understand how the principles of yoga can give all round wellbeing when practiced as part of a healthy lifestyle. It can be used to de-stress, improve outlook and time management as well as a better sleep pattern. |
