  • I came here with my family of 8 and stayed in a four bedroom lodge for 7 nights over the Christmas week (21st December to 28th December). The accommodation was excellent, the bedrooms were nicely decorated and good sizes. The living rooms were very spacious and we enjoyed watching our DVD's on the TV's (it was a good idea to have 2 living rooms because when the football was on we could watch the other TV). The weather was not too bad so on two of the days we went out. The first trip was to Port Issac's (where they film Doc Martin) this was easy to get to and very enjoyable. The second trip was to Land's End, this too was easy to get to and very interesting. At the resort my grand daughter went ice skating in winter wonderland and she loved it. The decoration in winter wonderland was beautiful, they even had a snow machine which was a nice touch. One evening the resort arranged for carol singing and had a lovely brass band. All in all we all had a great Christmas and we all hope to return to this resort one day.

  • “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” We had our second stay 2 weeks ago at Retallack Resort and we stayed in a 2 Bedroom Eden lodge with Hot tub. The house was gorgeous and there was loads of space for the little ones to run around. The best bit though was the Winter Wonderland - my two ( 4 yrs and 2yrs ) absolutely loved the ice rink we could hardly get them off. They have special Penguins to help the little ones skate, staff were really helpful and Santa even came for a skate - my daughter was in awe of him. She wrote her Christmas list while we were there and hand delivered it him, he spent time talking to her even though other children were waiting to speak to him.

  • We absolutely loved this place. There are hundreds of local places, and we used it as a base to explore. We came away refreshed, and buzzing about next year. The beds were to die for, miss them now. the hot tub was serviced early every morning and was great. Faultless experience, we are talking about not bothering to go abroad next year, just stay here!!

  • Our holiday was brilliant. We stayed in a 2 bedroom (Baby friendly) Harlyn property and it was so spacious and really clean. The resort and facilities are fantastic. My husband even had a go on the Flowrider and although suffering with aches and pains can not wait till we go back and have another go. Will highly recommend this resort to all family and friends.

  • I would suggest that you reserve a table at The Green Room on Thursday when James Nathan (Masterchef winner 2008) will blow you away with a superb taster menu. We had to go back the next day.

  • Our children enjoyed the pool and Kids Club on a couple of occasions, the Kids Club was excellent value and they had a great time.

  • We booked the cool canine retreat for a week at the end of February which was a fantastic deal at £399 for a week! On arrival we were directed to our 2 bedroom harlyn lodge, our french bulldog was very happy to find he had a welcome pack which included 2 bowls, a blanket, poo bags, tennis ball & thrower, fluffy rabbit, dog biscuits and treats and a rope toy! One delighted doggy!

  • We spent a week with our 2 young daughters at the wonderful Retallack Resort and Spa over the February school half term and had the best of times.

  • We stayed for 4 nights over New Year. The accomodation really was five star standard, we couldn't fault the facilities and decor in the 3 bed lodge at all. It was equipped with everything you could want, it really was home from home.

  • The 'piece de resistance' is the 'Flowrider' - a surf simulator - and the wonderful staff who run it. For £25 per hour ( special offers often available) you have a professional instructor, a top quality wetsuit and board and the time of your life! Soooo exhilarating - our 7 1/2 year old said he had 'the best time of his life.

  • Retallack is in an ideal location, close to Padstow with all its gastronomic attractions, Polzeath, Port Isaac and Daymer Bay for the superb coastal scenery and walks and not forgetting Watergate Bay and Newquay. We have already booked again for 2013 – can’t wait.

  • The spa is worth a visit for an added luxury - very good, reasonably priced massages just add to the total relaxation.

  • We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for one week. The apartment was probably the best self catered accommodation I think we have ever stayed in, everything is of such good quality and there is everything you could need in them.

  • The entire menu was tempting and each and every course was delicious. A worthy winner of MasterChef 2008, James Nathan has created a wonderful menu using some of Cornwall's best local produce.
